The brief for this private residence, which will be built on a slender lot with a sharp gradient in Hanover, Jamaica, was simple: "Keep it modern with a traditional roof."

That said, we opted for a standing seam roofing system to house the three story contemporary structure, which responds to the site's topography. The ground level will occupy the garage and living spaces, whilst private balconies extending from four suites will be spread across the two upper floors, looking out to the coast.

Outdoors, an infinity pool and conversation firepit capitalise on the site's slope, anchoring the space and inviting entertainment.
