Named after its address, Lot 8, and the good fortune the number carries, this private estate sits in the hills of Montego Bay, Jamaica on three gently sloping acres, with an uninterrupted 180-degree view of the sea and a golf course below. Originally designed by Harold Simpson in 1990, it changed hands recently, prompting a full redesign for its next chapter.

We opened the main living areas so light and views reach deeper in, and lined the facade with bi-folding doors that let the house open completely to the terraces. The original diamond pool was softened into a semi-circle to contrast the sharp angles of the house. A glass-fronted gym, two circular conversation pits and a bridge over a lap pool lead to a suspended jacuzzi at the far end.
