When the owner came to us, family was the heart of the brief. The house was already in the late stages of construction and looking beautiful, so our task was to design around it rather than over it. The ask was simple: a pickleball court and a mini golf area. From there, the site led.

The design steps down towards the beach through layered tiers and cut-stone retaining walls, with diagonal stairs slicing through to give the facade depth. Each tier becomes its own zone, tuned to a different mood, so the whole works as a compact family resort. Across them, outdoor living unfolds: a sunken conversation pit, an outdoor kitchen, an infinity pool and jacuzzi, and dining that wraps the water. Facing the court, we shaped the seating as an amphitheatre.
