Low and linear across the site, 460 is an L-shaped, single-storey home designed around the rhythm of light, air, and movement. At its centre, a rectangular pool anchors the design, and everything unfolds from here. Two internal courtyards sit on either side of the house. The roofline steps carefully around Adonidia palms, framing them as part of the architecture rather than the backdrop.

Entry is marked by an oversized pivot door, set slightly off the axis. Open it, and the house offers its orientation immediately: a clear view out to the pool, drawing the eye straight to the water. Inside, the layout is open but measured. A kitchen and living space share one volume, gently divided by a sun wall that holds a more intimate gathering area without closing anything off. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors open the home, connecting it completely to the pool deck and encouraging day-to-day connection for the family. Ceilings throughout this central space rise to 11 feet, amplifying light and openness.

A children’s playroom also opens directly onto the pool, tucked just enough for a sense of retreat. A corridor with a planted edge leads to the primary suite, bringing greenery into the heart of the home. There are four en-suite bedrooms, a central powder room, and a separate laundry. A double carport is integrated into the entry sequence-quiet, functional, and unobtrusive. Next to the pool, a conversation/firepit creates a place to gather, designed for family time, informal evenings, and moments of pause. It’s set slightly apart but still connected to the flow of the house.

The material palette is simple and grounded: smooth white render, white river stone, hand-cut local stone, hollow block, and teak-toned panelling. It’s further anchored by the refined strength of black iron and the quiet transparency of glass. Lighting has been used with intent, highlighting form and surface rather than drawing attention to itself. Every element is chosen to settle into the site and not compete with it.
