Considered a symbol of good fortune, “8” - named after its address, Lot 8 is a private estate nestled in the hills of Jamaica. Set on three acres​ of gently sloping land overlooking one of the Caribbean’s finest golf courses, the property enjoys an uninterrupted 180-degree view of the sea.​ Originally designed and built in 1990 by acclaimed architect Harold Simpson, the estate has recently changed ownership, prompting​ a comprehensive redesign to guide its next evolution.

A key element of the redesign was reimagining the internal layout to better suit contemporary living. The main living areas were opened up to create a more seamless​ flow between spaces, allowing natural light and views to penetrate deeper into the home. Expansive bi-folding doors were introduced along the main facade, enabling the house to open​ fully to the outdoors so that the interior transitions effortlessly onto the terraces and​surrounding landscape. We redesigned the existing pool,​ softening its original diamond form into a​ semi-circular shape to create contrast with the sharp, modern angles of the main house. Additional enhancements include the introduction of a glass-fronted gym to maximize the​ panoramic views, and two circular conversation pits positioned beside a bridge that extends over a lap pool and leads to a suspended, glass-fronted jacuzzi at the far end.
