Arrival began with a house that felt stuck in time​. Hexagonal shapes at the entry, a dated carport, and a layout that no longer supported how the owners wanted to live. But the bones were solid, and the location was something special.

Our first move was to strip away the old geometry, replacing it with strong, simple forms and a more refined palette of materials. The former carport became a garage, and above it we introduced a new primary suite​, elevated both literally and in comfort.

On the poolside, we thickened the existing columns to give the home a stronger architectural presence and redefined the outdoor area as a destination in its own right. A sunken cinema was carved into the landscape for film nights under the stars, while a custom waterfall adds a layer of sound and movement.

What emerged is a home that feels confident and calm​ - familiar, but fresh​, and a reminder that sometimes the best design begins with knowing what to let go. The images below show the original house and our new design.
